Welcome to Not Your Business
We’re here to create a space where being different isn’t just accepted—it’s celebrated. "Not Your Business" is a community dedicated to neurodivergent, queer, and trans freelancers, empowering them to ditch cookie-cutter norms, embrace their unique brilliance, and thrive on their own terms.
Our mission is simple: to provide the resources, connections, and mentorship that allow freelancers to succeed authentically. We believe that by fostering collaboration, inclusion, and fearlessness, we can rewrite the narrative of creative success.
Our Mission
To provide a no-BS platform where neurodivergent, queer, and trans freelancers can break the mold, build connections, and grow their careers on their terms. To disrupt the freelance world by creating a space where being “weird” isn’t just accepted—it’s celebrated as the ultimate key to creative brilliance.
Our Purpose
To carve out a space where neurodivergent, queer, and trans freelancers can ditch the cookie-cutter rules, challenge outdated ideas, embrace what makes them different, and rewrite the script on what creative success looks like.
The Story Behind the Community
I wanted to build a space where no one has to choose between being their authentic self and achieving their creative goals.
Hi, I’m Arlo (they/them) Founder of Studio Arlo and the creative mind behind "Not Your Business." As a neurodivergent, queer, and trans creative, I’ve built my career on breaking the mold and redefining what it means to succeed in the freelance world. With years of experience in creative industries, I specialize in fostering inclusion, championing individuality, and empowering others to embrace their unique strengths.
Early in my career, I struggled with navigating the complexities of freelancing while balancing the realities of being my true self. From battling imposter syndrome to finding a supportive network, I often felt like I had to hide parts of who I was just to get by.
But I refused to settle for a world where success required conformity. Over time, I discovered the power of community—connecting with people who understood my struggles, celebrated my quirks, and helped me grow.
With "Not Your Business," I’m combining my personal journey, professional experience, and passion for inclusivity to create a platform that supports neurodivergent, queer, and trans freelancers. Together, we’re redefining success—on our terms.
